Clare Danstead

My paintings are illustrations for a series of stories. They incorporate the language of symbols and dreamlike imagery.

My name is Clare Danstead. I work full-time as an artist, writer and Reiki Practitioner in Etchinghill, just outside Folkestone in Kent. My work is focused on art and writing as therapy. I work in a range of different media, particularly acrylic, watercolour and papier-mâché.

At the moment I am in the process of writing a series of children’s stories. Some of the images you can see here are illustrations for them.

I run creative workshops from my home involving ’journeying’ into the imagination followed by creative work in response.

I am very keen to accept commissions of any kind, so please do contact me if you have an idea you would like me to work on. I also have a range of limited edition prints available, of the images you see here, and others, at a cost of £20 A4, and £10 A5, plus postage and packaging if you want to order by post.
