Some 100 works of art – including sculpture, photography, painting and screen printing are being showcased at The Art Room gallery in North Street, Ashford. The preview exhibition, which runs until Wednesday, May 19, but excluding Sunday, May 17, is being staged by the South East Open Studios (SEOS) to promote the annual opening of SEOS artists’ studios to the public from June 4 to 20. Liz Garnett, spokesman for SEOS, said: “The Ashford preview has attracted a lot of visitors with the art firing up their imagination.”
