For two weeks every June, artists and crafts people across south east England open the doors of their workshops and studios to the general public.
The event, South East Open Studios, offers a unique opportunity to meet, talk to and see more than 300 of these creative souls at work.
SEOS 2010 takes place between June 4 and 20 and includes a wide range of media from traditional oil and watercolour paintings to ceramics, textiles and fine metalwork.
The work on show is created by amateurs and professionals in venues ranging from tents, conservatories and quirky little workshops to large commercial studios.
Admission to all venues is free to the public and a full colour guide has been published which includes a description of each artist's work along with contact details, travel directions and maps.
There is also the option of following one of 17 "art trails", suggested itineraries taking in a number of open studios in a particular area. These trails have been drawn up in locations including Tonbridge, Edenbridge, Sevenoaks, Tenterden and the villages to the west of Tunbridge Wells.
