Kent Profile
That very exciting and worthwhile annual project, the South East Open Studios, takes place this month (June), when around 250 artists and craftsmen and women across Kent and East Sussex throw open their doors for the public to go in, browse, talk about the artists work and, hopefully, buy or commission work.
To make a meaningful day out you need a copy of the free guide, which gives details about those taking part in the project (June 11th –26th) and which is available in hundreds of civic buildings across the area and in tourist information centres.
The quality of the work is excellent – like that of stained glass artist Stoney Parsons (right), for example, whose studio is in Eridge Park, just outside Tunbridge Wells, where she works and also runs courses.
Stoneys studio is open on June 11th and June 22nd –25th, from 10am to 6pm each day and you can look at her website for examples of her work – www.stoneyparsons.co.uk.
