Centre Prepares to stage own exhibition

Kentish Express

As local artists prepare for the open studios event, the Mick Jagger Centre is also getting ready to hold its own art exhibition.

The event, entitled Art at the Jagger, will also be held next month.

Three artists who are taking part in the open studios fortnight will also be showing their work at the Mick Jagger Centre in Shepherds Lane, Dartford.

The exhibition will feature the work of Mary Anderson, who will be showing landscapes and portraits in acrylics; Christine McSweeney, with her collection of London scenes in watercolours; and Pat Brown, who specialises in holiday scenes and monotypes.

Ms Brown said: “I enjoyed my previous experience at the Mick Jagger Centre, so Im looking forward to doing it again. It’s a lovely exhibition space, plus you get a very wide audience there.

The Mick Jagger show will be open from Thursday, June 2 to Wednesday, June 29. Call 01322 291100 for more information.
