We need some help with our Research Please
We are asking all artists and art enthusiasts to envisage the possibility of an Arts/Crafts/Design Centre right in the middle of Dartford (High Street). We want to know what you would expect from that. For instance:- Would you want artist's studios, workshops (for all ages), an arts cafe could be a possibility or space for events?
- Do you think an indoor Chistmas Craft market would be something you would come to visit?
- Do you think Dartford is a good place at all? By all means criticize the idea, but also look at the word D-art-ford. It simply must be the right place for art.

Hi, I am the South East Open Studios chairman.
I have lived and worked in Dartford and am at present working with members of my studio at Hextable as a collective called 'Pod'- on the regeneration of Dartford. We are working with the park at the moment. Consequently I am really interested.
Dartford is definitley in need of regeneration money, but I suspect the Medway towns will get it first. I have worked as a magistrate in Dartford so I have a good idea of how badly Dartford needs people to believe in it. Good artists studios would provide the sort of regenerative community interaction that can be found in Folkestone, Chatham, Margate and so on...
Would be very interested in getting involved and I am always willing to show people around our council owned (£44.000 Arts Council Grant) low rent studios.
