Swale Arts meets on the 1st Monday of each month at the Red Lion, Sittingbourne High Street, about 8ish in the back area.

We need some help with our Research Please

We are asking all artists and art enthusiasts to envisage the possibility of an Arts/Crafts/Design Centre right in the middle of Dartford (High Street). We want to know what you would expect from that.  For instance:

• Would you want artist's studios, workshops (for all ages), an arts cafe could be a possibility or space for events?
• Do you think an indoor Chistmas Craft market would be something you would come to visit?
• Do you think Dartford is a good place at all? By all means criticize the idea, but also look at the word D-art-ford. It simply must be the right place for art.

PORTRAITS - with tutor Juliette Dodd
10 week terms on Tuesdays from 10 am to 12.30, £90/£80 concessions. Two models per week including step by step demonstrations by the tutor in a variety of drawing and painting media. All abilities welcome.

WATERCOLOUR PAINTING - with tutor Barbara Valentine
10 week terms on Tuesdays 1 to 3.30 pm.
£60/£55 concessions. Covering all aspects of watercolour painting techniques, all abilities welcome to this friendly and relaxed class.

MINIATURE PAINTING - with tutor Barbara Valentine
10 week terms on Wednesdays 1 to 3.30 pm.
£60/£55 concessions. Introducing the beautiful world of Miniature painting, award winning artist will reveal the secret techniques of this exquisite artform for you to create your own treasures. All subjects are suitable but some painting experience is needed.

HISTORICAL THEMED PORTRAIT WORKSHOPS with Juliette Dodd, held on the last Saturday of the month, 10 am to 3 pm, £45/£40 concessions
January 26th - TOULOUSE-LAUTREC with model dressed as a Moulin Rouge can-can dancer.
