‘Throughout my time as chairman I have been lucky in having had a wonderfully creative and supportive committee.
Together we have bought the website up to date, improved our database, instigated the newsletter, streamlined the Guide Distribution, modernised the logo, begun digital printing of the Guide and bought in online applications.
I have made new friends, learnt new skills and made connections with people in the worlds of funding and the Arts that I would otherwise never have met.
I feel now that I need a period of reflection in my own art practice and believe it is time to step down.
SEOS is still growing both in artist numbers and the quality of the work and studio experiences it offers to the public. That it is a vibrant organisation still relevant to its membership thirteen years after it inception is due in no small part to the quality of its committees.’
