Biography
Emma was born in rural Oxfordshire in 1981. Surrounded by rolling Cotswolds hills and a beautiful garden, her love of the natural world grew tremendously. Throughout her life, Emma has always been a huge animal lover as well as avid artist, so it was only natural for her to fuse these two passions into a vocation.
After completing her degree in Visual Communication with a First Class honours, Emma was fortunate enough to exhibit in the Mall galleries as part of a group show, and undertook several commissions in Children’s book illustration. She now focuses on painting realistic animals that portray the beauty, sentience and innocence of animals and uses her work to promote and donate to conservation and animal rights causes.
Emma has also trained as a Wellbeing Art practitioner, guiding adults to use art as a tool for stress relief and relaxation through nature themed workshops. She is also a trained Forest Bathing facilitator and Mindfulness teacher who finds both art and nature can bring an endless source of therapeutic benefit.
Emma now lives and works in Crowborough, East Sussex, once again immersed in the natural beauty of the Ashdown forest and the South Downs National Park.
