Biography
Kate Linforth is a versatile, multi-disciplinary artist whose work delves into the microscopic life that has shaped the Kentish coastline. Through the tactile medium of stoneware and porcelain, she breathes life into sculptural and functional vessels, each one echoing the ancient plankton that helped form the iconic White Cliffs millions of years ago.
In addition to her ceramics, Kate’s creative practice extends to pattern, print, and illustration, with some of these designs gracing her ceramic pieces as well as bespoke wedding stationery. Prints of her delicate illustrative works are also available, allowing her artistry to be shared and cherished in various forms.
Kate’s sculptures and paintings have found their way into private collections across the globe, from the shores of Kent to as far as Canada. Her wallpaper designs, too, have garnered attention, gracing the pages of magazines and even making a striking appearance in a bar in Sydney, where they blend artistry with ambiance. Each piece reflects Kate’s unique ability to intertwine the natural world with contemporary design, leaving an impression wherever they are displayed.
