Biography

A glass artist from St Leonards East Sussex, England, Keith focuses on Kiln fused, cast and Pate’ de Verre glass. Keith likes pure contemporary form and hidden complexity. As a product of the Concorde era and a first-generation comprehensive school system, Keith established a love for materials, aesthetics and design from an early age. Following a successful engineering career that ranged from Satellites to to Le-Mans-type race cars Keith turned to glass over 15 years ago. A major stroke in 2019 left Keith with a paralysed left arm, hand and leg. After three years of hard work through bleak times, pandemic isolation and physical challenges, Keith returned to the creation of glass objects with a renewed focus and direction. As well as running his studio Keith now offers workshops for the glass curious and presents entertaining presentations on the history of glass and practical demonstrations of his process across the UK.
