Biography
Tanya Montandon is a painter and mixed media artist based in East Sussex, with a Public Art and Design degree from Chelsea College of Art and Design, London in the late 90’s.
After student life, Tanya was part of the relaunch team for The Globe Theatre in London in the ’90’s and later became a Painter and decorator after moving to East Sussex, to learn about paint effects.
This refined her work as an artist and provided a cleaner approach to painting.
Her work reflects the endless possibilities of pattern and colour to create the images she paints, using acrylics.
The natural world, wildlife and the elements being the primary source of inspiration for painting. From horned animals, seaworld themes, landscapes and seascapes. Realistic in nature with abstract themes.
Tanya has exhibited with The Beneden Art show, taken part in previous SEOS, been a member of Sussex Arts Collective based in Seaford and held several solo exhibitions in The Kino cinema Hawkhurst, sold work through varying gallery/shops in Kent and East Sussex. Her paintings have also sold in Australia as well as the UK.
Tanya offers commissioned paintings.
