Biography

Kate Hyde creates paintings and drawings inspired by landscape, industrial infrastructure and abstract expressive mark-making. Through joyful and sensitive combinations of colour, shape and layered surfaces, her work explores the emotional imprint of beloved locations and memories, creating pieces that bring a sense of colour, whimsy and harmony to collectors’ homes. 

 Kate works mostly in acrylics, emulsion paints, collage and charcoal on canvas and paper. She is part of The Yard Creatives collective at The Yard in Aylesford.
