Biography

Anna Hamilton is an emerging multidisciplinary artist based in Brighton. Her practice is rooted in a deep sensitivity to colour, texture and atmosphere, exploring how visual and sensory experiences shape memory, emotion and connection. Primarily working with oil, often layered with oil pastel and gloss, Anna’s paintings sit between abstraction and realism.

Her work is intuitive yet considered, sharing moments in time with textural compositions that reference still life, interior spaces and personal objects. Themes of accumulation, quiet domesticity and curated chaos recur throughout her practice, drawing subtle influence from collected ephemera and abstract figures.
