Biography
My name is Christine Bleny, born in Strasbourg, France in 1964. I now reside in the United Kingdom where I pursue my art.
My artistic skills were developed from a young age in my native France where my mother’s love of art inspired my passion for painting. Her collection of books depicting paintings by the Masters also kindled my desire to create my own works of art.
At the age of 28, an artist who became my teacher encouraged me in such a way that I started to produce paintings which I still do to this day.
I love experiencing different techniques from palette knife to convey the beauty of landscapes , or more traditional brushes for portrait, and more recently using gold/silver or cupper leaves to bring something new in my work. My process of creation is spontaneous and I am also inspired by the philosophy that we are all spiritual beings. I am a prolific artist having produced hundreds works of art in various styles in the last 30 years.
My work has been commissioned in various fields. A record label for several of their CD covers, two books covers and group exhibitions in France, Switzerland, Germany and England. I have also attracted several collectors of my art and commissions for various projects.
For last 20 years I have worked in the music industry in the field of finance and now am able to begin to move in to painting as my full time profession, which has been my purpose for many years.
