Biography
Anne Breathwick is a self-taught artist living in Sevenoaks, Kent whose passion for painting began over 25 years ago.
Her work is deeply inspired by observation of her surroundings during her visits to London and her travelling. Working primarily in oil on canvas, Anne employs an extensive layering technique to build depth and atmosphere within her paintings. Her subjects range from cityscapes and landscapes to figurative compositions, often rendered in a predominantly monochromatic palette that enhances mood and emotional resonance.
In the past eight years, Anne has expanded her artistic practice to include figurative sculpture, experimenting with clay and concrete to create expressive, emotive pieces that explore human experience in a tactile form.
Anne held her first group exhibition in 2007 and has since established a consistent presence in the local art community, regularly exhibiting with the KPG for the past 16 years. Much of her work is commission-based, reflecting a strong connection with her collectors and clients.
