Biography
Deborah Pugh
Deborah Pugh is a Kent based abstract artist. She has exhibited for several years with the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours, and the Society of Women Artists at the mall galleries, as well as taking part in solo and group local shows. Being a lover of being outdoors, this is where a lot of her inspiration comes from. She is never happier than spending time creating studies outside, which can then be developed into paintings in her studio. More recently she has been focusing on movement and the body, drwing dancers in action and dancing while drawing.
Her artwork is like a diary of moments from her life, of things she has seen, heard, touched and felt. Deborah encourages you to bring your own narrative to the painting, believing that a painting should not just be about what the artist sees and feels, but also about the viewer’s response.
