Exhibition and News

Having founded ‘Clayfolk’ in November 2025 I’m excited to start this next chapter in my career offering well run and managed courses and workshops at our studios in Folkestone. We offer a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for potters and artists alike to explore the world and medium of clay and cermics. See our website www.clayfolk.uk for details.

Biography

I am a ceramic artist and tutor based in Deal and Folkestone. I have worked in adult education for the last 10 years teaching courses and  workshops as well looking after the studio as a technician. I also take part exhibiting in local open studios events.

I have worked with clay on and off for the best part of 25 years from school and in 2003 I completed my Fine Art Degree (BA hons) in Sculpture.

I am a hand builder focusing on making contemporary ceramics using surface decoration to explore patterns in natural and historic man-made landscapes. I use a range of clays, slips and glazes to create unique one off organic forms embellished with inlay and sgraffito surface decoration.
