Biography

Keith is an Artist, Author and Illustrator who has been fascinated by colour and movement in nature since childhood. As a self-taught artist, Keith initally honed his skills by studying and specialising in painting the oriental and beautifully ornamental fish, Koi (Nishikigoi). Keith has embracd the same work ethos that the most eminent Japanese Koi breeders use in nuturing their Champions: Dedication, patience, detail, enthusiasm and patience.

These skills enabled Keith to expand and experiment with his subject matter, from Tropical Marine Fish and other Sealife inspired by his Scuba experiences to Food Art, inspired by…eating!

Keith’s love of colour, imagination and drawing has led him to writing, illustrating and self-publishing his own range of children’s picture books. His stories are based on things he cares about or seen…from ‘Jack Siddle’, their old one-eyed cat (Pirate Jack the One-eyed Cat), to stories about a Tropical Marine Fish including conservation and the rubbish in our oceans (Little Angelica – A little fish on her BIG adventure & Little Angelica – To Save our Sea). Keith has also recently released ‘ Debra the Red-Striped Zebra).

The Misfits depicts a collection of strange shaped and interestingly marked Freshwater Tropical fish. Ispired by the brilliant song by Gaz Coombes 'Long live the strange'.
