Biography
Artist Profile
I graduated from Goldsmiths University of London (1998), and my artistic style has evolved through years of exploration and discovery. In 2020, I discovered the unique voice that now defines my landscape paintings.
Artistic Style and Inspiration
My primary medium is acrylic paint, which I use to reinterpret the stunning landscapes of the Kent countryside. Inspired by daily walks with my dog, I simplify and the landscape, focusing on the bold shapes, clean lines, and vibrant colours.
Rather than aiming for photographic accuracy, my work seeks to evoke the visual, emotional, and ephemeral qualities of nature. I strive to convey a sense of memory, atmosphere, and connection to the natural world, capturing the fleeting beauty of a moment while encouraging viewers to experience their own emotional response to the landscape.
