Exhibition and News

I recently completed a bespoke three‑panel artwork for a new wedding venue in Kent. The brief began as a conceptual idea, and the most rewarding part of the process was working closely with the client to understand the atmosphere they wanted to create. As the concept became clearer, the artwork evolved into a triptych designed specifically for the space — combining movement, colour, and a sense of celebration. This project reflects how much I enjoy translating a client’s vision into a unique, site‑specific piece.

Biography

Christine Bleny is a French-born artist who grew up in northeastern France, where she was first introduced to art through her mother’s drawings inspired by the Old Masters. At the age of twenty-eight, an art teacher reignited her passion for painting, leading her to pursue art more seriously. Her work is characterized by an eclectic mix of influences, materials, and time periods, focusing on themes of positivity, pleasure, aesthetics, and glamour. Christine’s style blends elements of Art Deco, the brilliance of metal leaf, the exoticism of China, and the vibrant colors of Fauvism. She has lived in several countries and held various jobs, including pizza-maker, accountant, and painter-decorator, all of which have enriched her artistic perspective. For the past fifteen years, she has resided near London, providing her access to world-class galleries and artworks. Christine has participated in exhibitions in Paris, Milan, Basel, London, Strasbourg, and New York. Notably, she donated a painting to the “Association Ange” to support brain tumor research and has sold an entire collection of marine-themed paintings to a collector from China. Her extensive body of work comprises over 10,000 hours and more than five hundred completed paintings. In 2021, she donated two original paintings to the children’s Peanut Ward at Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead, aiming to bring joy and a calming influence to young patients.
