Biography

Gillian has a Fine Arts Degree in Conceptual Art. Her freemotion machine embroidery is self taught and for some years she has experimented with combining her embroidery with a growing variety of mediums.

Whether realistic or abstracted, moody or uplifting, Gillian’s pieces are bold, richly coloured and textured. Her aim is to create a narrative with the viewer and she continually strives to generate atmosphere and anticipation. Her work is inspired by the natural world and human experience.
