They came to know each other as the day moved closer to night. A story shared with each log placed on the fire. Self consciousness let go. While interests, hopes and values were brought together, warmth and crackling flames grew and the sparks floated up to the stars.Fine Lady. A rumour no-one else believed: Go to where the old roads cross on Beltane Eve. Her music rang through the sky, but I only glimpsed her for a moment as she rode on by.I lose myself. Though I can see each beautiful flower; each luscious tree. It is my sanctuary - away from everything to be done. It gives me the chance to stand with myself; deep thoughts; true wishes. And I am filled with gratitude for this space. It is said that they ring at dawn - A sound pitched for no human ear. But the fairies of the bluebell wood are summoned, ‘Join the parade. Spring is here!’A custom wedding dress patchworked together with reclaimed luxury fabrics.

Biography

I am lucky enough to have a home studio looking out onto the magical Somerset (UK) countryside (I can even see Glastonbury Tor if I stand on one leg at a particular angle). Since moving here from Tonbridge, my creative career has flourished in the direction of making one-of-a-kind clothing inspired by stories, adventure and fairies. A highlight was a sunrise photo-shoot of a wedding dress on the banks of the Grand Canal in Venice.

I have now turned my artistic nature towards painting, and have completed the highly regarded Mastery Programme by the Milan Art Institute. I am often adventuring out in the wild with my sketchbook, and as photography has been a hobby for a very long time, I have plenty of reference material to use for my art. I love experimenting with a variety of art supplies for layers of beautiful colours and visual textures, and enjoy mixing abstract backgrounds with realistic subjects.

I hope viewers of my paintings feel a sense of recognition of a magical place or story that they once knew in real life or in their imagination.
