Biography
Isabel studied a foundation at Rochester UCA in 2011 and thenwent onto study Design Crafts at De Montfort universityin Leicester and graduated in 2015.
She is by nature a process-led artist and has a very openapproach to the methods used, to demonstrating a visually stimulating fusion of colour, surface, pattern, and form.
Earthenware, Stoneware, and porcelain clays create a variety of thrown work as well as framed panels. The core influence in the approach to her work comes from her rural surroundings as well as an interest in
abstract expressionism. This allows her to transition from more detailed design to loud and fluid use ofcolour. Bare vessels become canvases inviting
the viewer to have a sensory experience of both theorganic and abstract world.
Recently an intriguing addition of felted textiles is currently being explored, with the connectivity of stitch.
