Biography
I have enjoyed drawing and painting
g since childhood, encouraged by family to sketch and paint. I studied Art at collage alongside training to teach. During my teaching career I continued to attend Adult Education Courses in Figure Drawing, Etching , Printmaking and finally joining a Masterclass group. Since retiring I have worked with artist friends enjoying a creative studio at The Yard.
I have had the privilege of attending inspiring courses at St Ives and Newlyn School of Art and through out all my courses have met inspiring artists who have furthered my work
I love to explore the North Downs and countryside that surrounds me and sketching plien air in numerous sketch books locally and on holidays provoked ideas for larger work in the studio I express myself through colour and texture to celebrate the places and experiences I love.
